Scott Michael Ellis 50, of Marquette, NE passed as the result of an early morning accident on HWY 30, while he was traveling to work, February 9, 2022.

A time to honor Scott and share memories will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 16th at All Faiths Funeral Home. Scott's wish was to be cremated and have his ashes sprinkled into the many lakes he fished in.

Scott was born in Sioux City, IA on April 27, 1971, weighing in at 10 pounds, he was the first son of Margie Davis and Michael Ellis. Scott grew up in Grand Island, NE with his mother, brother Phillip Ellis, his step sister Melissa and step father Don Davis. Don introduced the family to the many adventures of camping, fishing and hunting. Scott continued to embrace these hobbies and passed them on to his precious daughter Emma. Scott was a very smart man and could fix any vehicle and actually anything that was broken. We wish he could mend our broken hearts.

Scott worked for many years with his stepfather Don in the truss business. He was trained on the complicated software that designed structures and created specs for trusses. People still talk about the beautiful homes he designed for them. It was in that business that he met and married his wife Angie Sack. He was 36 when they were blessed with his beautiful daughter Emma.

Scott was so talented and could work harder and smarter than anyone. He loved his current job as a State Surveyor.

Scott and his beloved fiancé Christy Wert had so many side jobs. They were beekeepers and their honey was the best. Scott decided several years ago to take schooling in beekeeping because he feared our beautiful earth was in trouble because our bees were dying off. They also had vineyards and made their own wine and planted many fruit trees on their acreage. The past year Scott and Christy planned and built themselves a huge addition to their home. His father Mike Ellis would travel from Iowa almost every weekend and would help them. They just finished a couple weeks ago so he has a beautiful and lasting legacy to his talent and never-ending ambition.

Scott was welcomed into Heaven by his special Aunt Shirley (Shushe) Ziemba who was like a second mother to Scott and we guess she couldn't wait to bring him home. His Uncles Robert Davis and Gerald Davis, cousin Todd Davis, grandparents Dayle and Darlene Ellis and cousin Angie Ellis and his best buddy Matt Campbell were also part of Heaven's welcoming committee.

Those left to grieve for our Scott are his precious daughter Emma Irene, his beloved fiancé Christy and her daughters Jessica and Lindsey, his mother Margie Davis, Grand Island, NE, his brother Phil (Kristi), Phil's children Megan Ellis, Hastings, Katie Ellis, Omaha, NE, Luke Ellis, Grand Island, NE his father Michael (Lois) Ellis, his sister Nicole Ellis, nephew Hunter, Onawa, IA, his stepfather Don (Rosemary) Davis, Grand Island, NE, his step sister Melissa (John) Hoggatt, Kearney, NE, his ex-wife Angie Sack, Marquette and step son Andrew Sack, Lincoln, his special cousins Melissa (Tony) Randone, Grand Island, NE, Liz(Jeremy) Colsen, his uncle Jim Davis, Palmer, NE, uncle Ron Ziemba, Grand Island, his aunt Mary(Jim) Parker, Sloan, Iowa, aunt Annette(Vance) Linden, Whiting, IA, uncle Gary (Linda) Ellis, Whiting, IA, uncle Loren (Deborah ) Ellis, Independence, IA.
