William Leonard Leonard passed away on February 10, 2022 in Yuma, Arizona, with his wife Darlene and sons Colton and Justin, at his side.

Bill was born November 7, 1951, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Leonard and Martha Komora. He was a student at St. Joseph School and was an altar boy. When Bill was 6, he and his father went to live with his grandparents, George and Mary Komora. Bill also spent many happy days staying with his cousins, Sue and Autumn.

In 1968, Bill moved with his mother, his step-father and his sister Pamela to Tok, Alaka. He was 16 and Tok became his home for the rest of his teen years and part of his adult life. Bill loved Alaska and spent time hunting and fishing and enjoying the outdoors. It was during these years that Bill welcomed the births of his daughter, Christine and his son, Shaun.

At 18, Bill enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He remained a military supporter and patriotic American all his life.

Bill eventually made his way to Yuma where he worked as a bartender at 21st Street East. There he met Darlene Girard. They married in 1993 and had two sons, Colton and Justin. Bill's employment in Yuma also included Yuma Golf and Country Club and Yuma Proving Ground, where he worked as a security guard until he retired in 2012.

Bill loved his country, his family and football, especially his team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bill was generous. He was always opening his home to those in need. He had a big heart, a big personality and a great sense of humor. Bill loved dogs ... especially his. He was a wonderful father and was so proud of his kids. Bill was especially close to his only sibling ... his sister, Pam.

Bill is survived by his wife, Darlene, and sons, Colton and Justin of Yuma; by his son, Shaun Komora and daughter, Christine Harvey [John] of Alaska; sister, Pamela Albert [Abraham]; niece, Katrinia and grandchildren, Roxanne and Kevin.

A gathering to celebrate Bill's life is planned at a date to be announced. The family deeply thanks all that offered prayers, kind words, support, and love during recent months.
