Carol Marie Breeden of Lubbock passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at the age of 77. She was born February 11, 1943 in Douglas, Nebraska to Bill and Edna (Miles) French, she was the youngest of 7 children. They soon moved to Cavour, South Dakota where she was raised. Carol worked as a legal assistant until retiring in 2003. She had a passion for writing poetry and soon became a published author through her poetry. She moved to Lubbock in 2010 to be closer to family. It was at that time she became involved with the Freedom in Jesus Ministry in Levelland, Texas, and a member of Transformation Church in Lubbock, Texas where she became an ordained minister. She was happiest when she was ministering to others and if you asked her what her favorite thing was, she would tell you "it was telling people about Jesus".

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Patrick Meeks and wife Connie of Spring, Texas and Colleen Murphy and husband Michael of Lubbock; stepchildren, Rock Breeden, Jr. of Oklahoma City and Saundra Breeden of Tulsa; Sisters Betty LaBlanc of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Donna Jensen of Watertown, South Dakota; nine grandchildren; and her only great-grandchild, Isabella.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rock Breeden, Sr.; and brothers, Bob, Buell, Marvin, and Jim French.

A celebration of her life has been scheduled for Sunday, December 13th at 3pm at Transformation Church located at 5302 Elgin in Lubbock, Texas.
