Byron was born on July 15, 1953, in Bellefontaine, OH, a son of the late Ira H. and Claris L. McGee Neal. He was preceded in death by his brother, and sister-in-law, Herbert and Gaye Neal.
Byron married Kathy Lyle on October 27, 1984, in Lima, OH and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Jason (Leticia) Neal of Richmond, KY, six grandchildren, Gustavo, Jonathan, Jacob, Zachary Leslie, and Lindsey, a great grandchild, Graydon, many nieces and nephews, and special family friends, The Shumps.
Byron graduated from Upper Scioto Valley School. He retired from Indian Lake Schools. Byron is a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his golf cart, mowing the yard, birdwatching, and playing with his canine companion, Bella. Byron enjoyed a great sense of humor and those who greeted him with a "How are you doing?" would hear the reply "Short, Fat and Sassy." He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Brother Nathan Price will begin funeral services at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visiting from 11-1. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.
