Gordon Ray Cunningham, age 78, of Madison Heights passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at his home. He was born in Lynchburg on November 26, 1943, son of the late Gordon T. and Dorothy T. Cunningham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia O. Cunningham.

Gordon was a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry and Griffin Pipe and had served his county in the United States Army Reserves during Vietnam. He was a member of the Lynchburg Moose Lodge as well as American Legion Post #16.

Survivors include his four children; a sister; a brother and wife his Wanda as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
