Sandra Jean Hudson, 75, of Jena passed from this life on Wednesday February 9, 2022. She was born on February 6, 1947 in Alexandria to the union of Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" and Rowena Rosier Hudson.
Following her graduation from Jena High School, "Jean" as she was known by her family and friends, moved to Leesville. She was employed with the Federal Civil Service at Fort Polk until her retirement with 30 years of service.
Services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Jena with Reverend Greg Mortensen, Reverend Zach Wells, and Reverend Dale Mortensen officiating. Internment will follow in the Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish in her memory are her brother, Nathan Hudson and wife Sandra; two nephews, Thurman Hudson and wife Trisha, Travis Hudson and wife Jana; two great nieces, Madison Hudson and Emily Hudson; two great nephews, Jeffery Hudson and Brayden Hudson.
Pallbearers will be Thurman Hudson, Travis Hudson, Calvin Hudson, Ricky Nugent, Ricky Cockerham and Grayson Walpole.
Honorary pallbearers are her two great nieces, Madison Hudson and Emily Hudson; and her two great nephews, Jeffery Hudson and Brayden Hudson.
