Robert Hannah, age 88, husband for 66 years to Betty Cole Hannah, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his home. Born February 16, 1933, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Pearl Hannah and Paul Rony, he was a lifelong farmer, a retired employee of The Trane Company, a former employee of Kawneer and Bundy Tubing and a member of Lair United Methodist Church. Robert loved watching University of Kentucky sports and was an avid John Deere enthusiast, affectionately being known as "Mr. John Deere."

Also left to cherish his memory are: three daughters, Teresa (Ronald) Crump, of Cynthiana, Pam Smalling, of Waxahachie, Texas, and Donna (Todd) Smith, of Cynthiana; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Crump, Jessica Crump, Michael Crump, Wendy Smalling, Hannah Smith, Ross Smith and Charlie (Allison) Smith; 10 great-grandchildren, Summer Franklin, Makenzie Franklin, Bethany Franklin, Natalie Crump, Nolan Wagoner, Camryn Perraut, Blake Hardin, Cameron Hardin, Jacob Smalling and Kyrie Smalling; five great-great-grandchildren; and his beloved "Red-Headed Stepchild," Reba Fryman. His sister, Wanda Newman, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. Terry McDuffey, with burial following at Battle Grove Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael Crump, Ronald Crump, Travis Franklin, Charlie Smith, Ross Smith, Todd Smith and Nolan Wagoner. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
