William David Damron, age 93 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his daughter's residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lincoln County on October 1, 1928, to the late David Vinning and Daisy Ella (Perry) Damron. Before his retirement, Will D. was employed at AERO for over thirty years as a mechanic. He enjoyed bird and rabbit hunting as well as training his bird dogs and beagles. He also enjoyed fishing at Nickajack Lake and listening to
Southern Gospel music. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Will D. was a member of the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was a member of the choir and a former elder of the church. He was also a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Damron; and sister, Doris Cambron.
