Eva Lee McClendon Trimm, 87, of Empire, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, June 14, at Rice's Chapel Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Revs. Benny Shipp, Wayne Williams, and Eddie Nichols will officiate. Mrs. Trimm's body will be at the church one hour prior to the service today. Bell Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Trimm was preceded in death by her husbands, Ervin R. McClendon and Woodard Trimm; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Darrell McClendon and his wife, Sandra, of Bremen; daughter, Marjorie Spinks and her husband, Walter, of Empire; grandchildren, Sonja Freeman, Darren McClendon, Timothy Busby, and Terry Busby, all of Bremen, and Tammie Light and Steven Busby, both of Jasper; brother, William Tolbert of Brookside; sisters, Annie Simms of Cullman and Martha Stewart of Center Point; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
