Jerry Edwin "Eddie" Riggs, Jr., 59, passed away February 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his sister, Deanna Michelle Riggs and his brother, Christopher Craig Riggs.

He is survived by his wife, Cyndy of Hillsborough, NC; mother, Billie Mae High (Sam Brantley) of Durham, NC; sister Renee Wendell (Skip) of Durham, NC; Aunt Jeannette Hodges (Lamond) of Oxford, NC; Aunt Joyce Flowers (Don) of Conover, NC and sister-in-law Penny Lillie of Hillsborough, NC. Also, many cousins residing all over the country.

Eddie was very proud of his time spent in the United State Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV. That is where he met his wife of 38 years. He was passionate about Dale Earnhardt and all things NASCAR! His Grandpa, Fred High, taught him the love of gardening and he shared the fruits of that love every summer with vegetables on the table and flowers in the yard.

Eddie battled vascular dementia for several years with fierce courage, grace and a love for those of us that were there to help him during this journey. For those of you that would like to help, please select any dementia group for a donation.
