Anna Kathyrn Brown, 90, of Carterville, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy.
Anna Kathyrn was born December 28, 1931, in Sturgis, Kentucky, to Herbert Charles and Flora (Kanipe) Hamby.
She married Robert "Bob" Brown on June 12, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas.
They were married 68 years before he preceded her in death on October 31, 2016.
Anna K. worked at Heckel's in Carterville for many years, as well as Egypt Flowers in Herrin, and Universal Match and American Magnetics in Carterville; although, her greatest pride was in her family. She was a loving wife, Mom, Mamaw, and GG and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son and very special daughter-in-law, Ron and Cindy of Carterville; five granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; along with niece; nephew; and cousin.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Bob; son, Charles "Bobby" Brown of Brunswick, Georgia; and her sister-in-law, Peggy & Dean Belt.
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville is in charge of arrangements.
