WANDA RUTH PHELPS
April 3, 1934 ~ February 7, 2022 (age 87)
Wanda Phelps passed from this life on Monday, February 7, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born April 3, 1934 the daughter of Henry and Sudie Mary (Mitchell) Clark.
Wanda and James Earl Phelps were united in marriage in January 1951 and shared forty-nine years of marriage.
Wanda was a longtime worshiper of Jehovah at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses of Broken Bow. She loved to tell everyone about her faith. She looked forward to seeing and visiting with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother always putting her kids first.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sudie Mary Clark; husband, James Earl Phelps; daughters, Sharon Phelps and Joyce Ann Phelps; granddaughter, Lacy Lynn Phelps; brothers, Charles, Frank and Marty Clark; sisters, Mary Hemmerling and Carolyn Clark.
Wanda is survived by her children, Vivian Scott of St. Francesville, LA, James and Margaret Phelps of Moody, TX, Deborah and Bruce Stewart of Avery, TX, Velma and Jimmy Grace of Broken Bow, OK; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at White Family Funeral Home Chapel in Idabel, OK with Bro. Tony Starr officiating.

*I remember going to unassigned territory with her when my kids were small. We went to Kansas. We got stuck in a wheat field. Wanda steered while we pushed. She laughed so hard at how we looked all muddy. Good times.
