Glenda Marie Powell Gaines, age 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born January 7, 1959, in Greenwood, SC, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Powell and Shelby Jean Burdette Meeks.
Glenda was retired from JPS Composite Materials after 43 years of faithful service to the company. She loved crafting and decorating and enjoyed going camping.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jason Gaines; brother, Billy Powell; sister, Debra J. Dean; nieces and nephews, Christopher Dean, Heather Brown, Kevin Powell, Caleb Kay, Allen Lee, and Mary Jean Montgomery; great nieces and nephews, Will, Elizabeth, Baylor, Nathaniel, Emily, and Dylan; and her Yorkie puppy, Molly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry and Thomas Powell.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 12, 2022, from noon to 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
The family will be at the residence.
