Wanda Lee Baker, 77 years, of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Monroe, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Born June 16, 1944 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Wanda was the daughter of the late John C. and Anna Marie (Eldridge) Cupp, Sr.

The family moved to Monroe in 1953. Wanda was a 1962 graduate of Monroe High School and attended Monroe County Community College.

On May 20, 1966Wanda married her beloved husband, Jerry Lee Baker in Flat Rock, Michigan. They moved to Eaton Rapids in 1994.

Wanda and Jerry met while they were both employed at Kmart in Monroe. Wanda then went to work for Ford Motor Company in Monroe, where she worked for 13 years. The job Wanda was most proud of was being a homemaker and caring for her family.

Wanda was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She enjoyed ceramics, word search puzzles and browsing on her Facebook page.
Wanda will be remembered for her loving ways toward family and friends and as a people person, who never met a stranger.

Wanda is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jerry,
two loving children:
Rev. MikeD. (Kimberlee) Baker of Bellaire, MI and Valeria L. Baker of Eaton Rapids,
two cherished grandchildren:
Jayden and Cody Baker and two "Adopted Sons" Tom (Kim) Walter and Bobby (Aaron) Mason.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers:
John C. Cupp, Jr. and
James W. Cupp and a sister
Flora Katherine Bailey.

On Friday, February 11, 2022 a service celebrating Wanda's life will be held at The Chapel of Prayer at Roselawn Memorial Park beginning at 2:00 pm. Wanda's son, Pastor Mike D. Baker of New Life Assembly of God, will officiate. Entombment will immediately follow.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Michigan Diabetes Research. Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, Michigan, is assisting Wanda's family with funeral arrangements.
