Donald Clayton Hunt, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK. Don was born on August 30, 1942 in Bois D'Arc, Missouri to parents Glenn & Della (Cox) Hunt.
Don attended Central State University in Edmond, OK and received a Bachelors in Art. Don also attended high school in Toulon, Illinois and Roper Elementary School in Missouri. Don had a 31 year long career with Tinker Air Force Base. Don was also a member of the Toast Masters Organization. Some of Don's favorite pastimes and hobbies were painting, gardening, and spending time with his family. Don's favorite vacation was when he got the chance to go to Tahiti. Above all it was the birth of his children and his marriage to Gwen that were his greatest and proudest achievements.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn & Della Hunt; brother, Robert Hunt; brother, Earl Hunt; brother, Steve Hunt; sister, Debbie Hunt; and his son Donald Jr.
Don is survived by his wife, Gwen Hunt; daughter, Christine Clark & husband Robert; son, Aaron Hunt & wife Angela; son, Joe Engel; and son, Brian Engel; sister, Marthia Pinchuck; sister, Shirley Moore; sister, Norma Hutto; sister, Beverly Hunt; sister, Linda Thimmons; brother, Ricky Hunt; as well an many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Don will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N.
