94 Farrier Thomas Joel Rose, 1st Victorian Mounted Rifles. Son of Alexander Rose and Mary Rose (nee Grantham). Lived in Morwell, Latrobe, Victoria, Australia. Educated at Yinnar State School, Victoria, Australia. Volunteered for service in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War. He died of enteric fever (typhoid) in a military hospital in Pretoria. He was biuried on 30 Jun 1900.
