Phillip John Adams, 60, passed away at his South Weber, Utah home on Thursday, 3 February 2022, after a year-long battle with brain cancer.

Phillip was born in Seattle, Washington on Sunday, 3 December 1961, to John Walcott and Lillian Ruth (Reed) Adams. He was the youngest of their four children and also had an older half-sister. Throughout his childhood, his family moved a lot, but eventually, his parents settled the family in Mesa, Arizona.

When Phillip reached adulthood, he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he met the "love of his life", Deborah Joyce Jaeger. Phillip and Deborah married in the Salt Lake temple on Friday, 28 June 1985.

Phillip put his dual degrees in electronics and photography to use throughout his career.

He spent a minimum of two hours daily outside, biking, hiking and photographing wildlife. He loved being active! He and Deborah ran competition marathons and Phillip was so fast that he could finish, return to his and Deborah's hotel, shower and still meet her back at the finish line.

Phillip was a "doer". It was his love language. Whether it was building a new porch or guest room, or improving the storage room's shelves, the projects Phillip undertook were his way of demonstrating his love for his family and friends.

Phillip also had a fondness for music. He served as chorister in his ward and sang in a barbershop choir.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lilian Milroy; stepfather, Kenneth Milroy; half-sister, Patty Adams; and brother-in-law, Bob Hutton; his dog, Milo and several uncles and cousins.

Left to cherish his memory are Phillip's wife, Deborah Adams; children, Andrew Adams, Paul Adams and Sarah Adams; soon-to-be son-in-law, Aaron Brown; and dog, Mickey D. Also surviving Phillip are his father, John Adams; siblings, Donald Adams, Kelly Adams and Peggy Adams; along with countless other family members.

SERVICES:
Funeral will be held at the South Weber ward building, 1814 East 7775 South on Saturday, 19 February 2022, at 10 A.M., followed by interment of Phillip's remains in the Huntsville Cemetery, as arranged by Russon Brothers' Mortuary.

Phillip's family thanks the many family members and friends, plus the nurses and other caregivers at Canyon Hospice Care.

ANGELS AMONG US
by Alabama
"Oh, I believe there are angels among us
Sent down to us from somewhere up above;
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live,
To teach us how to give;
To guide us with the light of love."
(Phillip's favorite song)
