Curtis Fields Murphy, 89, passed away, January 29, 2022. He was born in Providence, NC. on April 1, 1932, to King Solomon Murphy Sr. and Sadie Hudgins Murphy. Curtis was married to the late Irma Murphy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Curtis was a Veteran of The United States Army. He was employed by the City of Danville Cemeteries. He was a member of Shermont Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Steve Murphy (Tami); granddaughter, Allison Murphy; great-grandson, Bentley Shearin. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Billy Murphy, Jimmy Murphy; and sisters, Delma Smith and Shirley Franklin.
Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
