She was born in Oshkosh on March 13, 1937 the daughter of the late Edward and Matilda "Tilly" (Lenz) Fitzpatrick. On January 22, 1955 she married her husband of 66 years, Tisdale Furman.
"Auntie Q" worked as a caregiver at Parkview Health Center and also in private homes. She loved to crochet, and go camping and travel, especially to Arizona. She will be remembered for her love and kindness for her family, most of all, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Colleen is survived by her children, Ricky (Connie) Furman, Phillip "Corky" (special friend, Lynete Lujeck) Furman and Patricia Schultz; grandchildren: Stephanie (Matt) Nourollah, Jeff (Carrie) Schultz, Nicholas (Stephanie) Furman and Ashlee (Brock) Saunders; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Braelyn, Paxton, Briar, Linkin, Kaysyn, Reagan, Rylie and Hadlee. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tisdale "Ted" Furman; parents; and siblings.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, 700 W. Linwood Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. Russ Frees officiating. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
The family expresses a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care, especially Deb, Anne, and Amanda, also a special thank you to all those family and friends who were supportive at this difficult time.
