George was born in New Orleans, LA, and spent 71 years loving life and living it to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine Harry Riley; four children, Lavette (Alfred) Butler, Deshell (Michael) Allen, George Riley, III (Jasmine), and Destiny Riley (Dequincy), all of Vacherie; nine grandchildren; devoted aunt, Claretta Steib; one Godchild Ranee Zilton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
George is preceded in death by his father, George Riley, Sr., and his mother, Leboria Dumas Riley.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 9AM to 10:45AM on Saturday, January 29, 2022, followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial directed by Father Matthew McCaughey at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Hwy 644, Vacherie, LA. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery.
