David James Watts, Sr., 57 of Claymont, DE, passed away on January 27, 2022 at home.

David was born on August 5, 1964 in Elkton, MD, son of the late Melvin L. Watts, Sr. and Mary L. Turner Watts. He was raised in Cecil County where he was a graduate of Perryville High School. David had worked for Kroll on Track for several years. He was a member of Holy Bethel The Church of God, Newark, DE. He enjoyed being in church, fishing and watching his favorite shows and movies.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Leona Maple.

David is survived by his children, David J. Watts, Jr. of Elkton, MD, Jason A. Watts of Elkton, MD, Tyair S. Truitt of Newark, DE and Denisha T. Watts of Claymont, DE, 4 grandchildren, Nylaa, David III, Nia and Amorah and twins on the way; sisters, Barbara Watts of Jacksonville, FL, Ruth Ann Watts of Smyrna, DE and Elizabeth Watts of Jacksonville, FL and a brother Melvin Watts, Jr. of Aberdeen, MD.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 2 to 4 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD.
