Harold is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Joyce (Smith) Davis. He's also survived by his identical twin brother Howard Davis; half brother Cliff Ravenkamp; children Hal Davis, Bill (Rita) Davis, Deb (Don) Kosmider, Jim Davis; grandchildren Dan (Carmen) Kosmider, Dana Kosmider, Jade (Dan) Campagna, Nolan Davis, Jake Davis (and Jake's fiance' Jessica Trobaugh); great granddaughters Isabella Kosmider, Gemma Campagna, and Samara Campagna. Lastly he's survived by his brother in law Ed Findlay, step-family Tala (Steven) Martinez, Kate Preest, Estella Martinez; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his faithful dog Matty.
Harold was a proud United States Marine Sergeant, who enlisted in 1948, was off for 1949, then was re-enlisted from 1950-1952 as an amphibian tank commander, Semper Fi. For many years he worked at, and later retired from Doehler-Jarvis. On July 4, 1952 Harold married the love of his life, Joyce (Smith) Davis. In June of 1956, they purchased their Toledo home, which came to see five generations of family, and many happy memories. There was always, at least, one pet in the home. Tuesday mornings Harold, and his twin Howard, spent their time talking about their many shenanigans. The twins would laugh about confusing people with a game of, "Switch the Twin." The two of them used to like going hunting and fishing together.
Before his illness, Harold spent many days going out to lunch and on drives through the park, with his wife Joyce. Then he would come home to take a long walk with his dog. He liked to watch Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, wrestling and baseball. Harold was a baseball enthusiast, and made it a point to make it to each of his grandson, Jake's, games. He also made sure to be at each of his great granddaughter, Isabella's, dance recitals. He spent many years as a caregiver to elderly loved ones. Harold was always surrounded by his family, even up until his last moment. His family loves him very much, and we feel lucky, grateful, and honored to have been a part of his life!
