Thomas was born on August 8, 1939, in Clarendon County, the son of the late Alfred Ira and Corine Ethel Watts Robinson. He was a 1958 graduate of East Clarendon High School. Thomas was a life-long member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee for many years. Thomas worked for 50 plus years as a carpenter with Coker Builders and MB Kahn. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, planting his garden, and never missed a fish fry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three very special friends: Phillip Coker, Ed Green, and Ray Morris.
