Edward Michael Willman of Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Sidney, Ohio and known affectionately to friends and family as 'Mike', passed away this Christmas Eve while celebrating Christmas with his family. As the carolers voiced 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing', Mike ended his transient journey in this life and traveled to his Eternal Home amid heavy hearts for those of us he left behind. Mike now knows God's love and all the secrets of the universe, firsthand.

He was born on April 2, 1947 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He is survived his daughter, Jacquie Willman-Wagner and her husband Mark of Piqua, Ohio; his mother, Mary Stockstill Willman of Highland Beach, Florida; Uncle Robert (Claridel) Willman of Daytona Beach, Florida; brothers and sister, John William (Arlene) Willman of Delray Beach, Florida; Ardiss Willman (Donald) Luce of Sidney, Ohio and Todd Jennings (Joanne) Willman of Katy, Texas; and nieces, Kym, Euri, Michelle, Austine and Tracie, nephews, Brandon and Ted, and grand nieces and nephews, Brydon, Karli, Jace, Kamryn and Acen. He was preceded in death by his twin sister Julia and father Edward McDill Willman.

Mike was a member of the Sidney High School football and golf teams. He also enjoyed playing guitar. After high school, he joined the U.S. Marines, in the footsteps of his father and was a Vietnam War Veteran. After his Honorable Discharge, Mike attended Wright State University where he studied mathematics. Mike was a pilot and an enthusiast of aviation and the space program.

In addition to being a proud parent, he was a sweet and loving family man. Mike enjoyed sharing stories and he had a great sense of humor. We love and miss him very much.

Friends may call Wednesday January 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Cromes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Pumphrey officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Sidney, Ohio or to the American Heart Association.

To Mike, we all wish you God Speed on your Christmas journey. Our love and prayers attend you always.
