Joyce Ann Parker, 69, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2022, at Greenwood Healthcare, Greenwood, Indiana, where she has been staying for a few months.

She was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on September 6, 1952, the daughter of Arthur William and Leona May (Madison) Lowe. She grew up in Marocco, Indiana and attended North Newton High School. Joyce was the seventh of seven sisters and one brother.

In 1973, Joyce was living and working at a dime store in Goodland, Indiana, where she met Vernon Wood. In 1974, in Morocco, Indiana, they married. She had three children from that marriage, daughter, Amy Wood and sons, Scott (April) and Tim (Jamie) Wood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Leona Lowe; sisters, Jean (Jack) Lasley and Betty (Bill) Dowty and husband, Vernon Wood.

Around the end of 2000, she met an Englishman, online, Colin Parker, from the UK. They formed a relationship online, and after daily phone calls and frequent meetings in person, he came to Indiana and they were married, at home, in Vermilion County, Indiana in 2005. Together with Amy, Colin and Joyce moved to Wingate, Indiana in 2010.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Colin Parker; sisters, Judith (Mike) Cobleigh, Joan (Leo) Burris, Jennie (Jerry) Kellner, and Nancy (Jim) Ingram; her three children; grandchildren, Skylar (Eli) Raplee, Austin, Jenifer, Timmy Wood, Ethan and Elijah Appel; three great grandchildren, that she greatly adored, with one more on the way. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children. In the UK, she has seven stepchildren and eleven step grandchildren, with two more on the way.

She will be laid to rest in Lower Mounds Cemetery in Covington.
