He met his love, Linda Sue Bishop at Velma, Oklahoma in High School and married December 23, 1958. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary together and all feel that it is a testimony of their love and commitment to each other in life, going hand in hand.
Hubert was a good man, loving and caring for his family, working hard to provide what was needed and mixing life with fun. He excelled at everything he tried. Hubert loved working with his hands and was gifted as a Mechanic.
He told of the time he saw his first car and hid behind a tree to watch it drive by. He grew up learning to repair and build motors which lead to working as a mechanic, drag racing at speedways, and later restored antique cars. He loved the outdoors, fishing, boating and waterskiing. He had a love for the freedom and opportunity this country and our God gave us. Hubert tested and repaired jet engines at Sheppard Air Force base in Texas. After moving his family to Missouri, he worked for Teledyne and later the US Department of Defense.
He enjoyed being grandpa to five grandchildren, Byran, Zachary, Danny, Jacob and Lierra and later Great Grandpa to ten great grandchildren at time of passing from this life awaiting the next journey into heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus.
