Virginia "Jenny" was born on August 26, 1930, in Liberty Hill, Texas to Arthur and Velma (Travis) Hays. She graduated from Bertram High School in 1947. She attended Brackenridge School of Nursing in Austin and had been employed at the Shepard Hospital in Burnet for 5 years. She met and married Dr. James "Doc" Tucker on December 12, 1952 in Burnet, Texas. After getting married Doc attended Vet School at Texas A&M University and graduated as a veterinarian. Doc and Jenny moved to Tulia as Doc worked for Dr. Cross at the Animal Hospital. Doc took over his practice where Jenny assisted him for many years until they both retired. On their days off they loved to go camping, fishing, traveling and Colorado.
Jenny will be remembered as she not only worked hard next to her husband Doc for many years, but she also found the time to be a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to have fun and had a passion for adventure and travel. She loved her family, friends, animals and her Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Velma Hays, her husband Doc Tucker, her son, Jay Tucker, her twin infants, Jimmy and Jenny, her brother, Winston Hays and her sister, Sylvia "Bugs" Pike.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Clifford and husband Joe Clifford of Lubbock, her granddaughter, Dakota Limon of Berkeley, CA.
