ZIRNGIEBEL, Edith Carolyn "Edie" (Glover), 88, of Pembroke, formerly of Randolph, died January 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Middleboro to Myron and Ruth (Drake) Glover on September 15, 1933. Edie grew up in Randolph, graduating from Stetson High School. She married George Edward "Ducky" Zirngiebel on April 24, 1953. Edie and Ducky raised their three children in Randolph and resided there for many years.

After retiring from her work as an operator with the New England Telephone Company, Edie and Ducky spent the winter months in Fort Myers, Florida for more than twenty years. She enjoyed traveling, walking, reading, bicycling, and going to the gym. Edie was an active member of the Telephone Worker Pioneers.

Family was everything to Edie. Her home was an inviting place where everyone was welcome. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Edie was the heart of her family and cherished time with them and her many friends. Her warmth, kindness, and engaging personality will be missed by all who knew her.

Edie was predeceased by her husband, George; her parents; sisters, Ruth Marvill and Mildred (Millie) Lyons; brothers, Myron (Junior) Glover, Everett Glover and William (Billy) Glover. She is survived by her loving children, Jean (Matt) Gredler, of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Donna (John) Muller, of Pembroke and George Zirngiebel Jr. of Abington; daughter-in-law, Patricia Zirngiebel of Wareham; sister-in-law, Joan F. Smith, of Randolph; 4 grandchildren: Michelle, Scott, George and Amy; 7 great grandchildren: Samantha, Olivia, Louie, Joseph, Grace, Thomas and Clare; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, January 25th from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main Street, (RT 28), Randolph. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. A private burial will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Our family would like to thank Edie's caregivers Jess, Dilma, Lucy and Landa; and Cassie of Norwell Visiting Nurse Association; for their compassionate care of Edie.
