Linda Parker, 73, of Le Grand, died at her home on Friday, February 4, 2022, under the care of Iowa River Hospice, with her sister at her side. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. No formal services are planned.

Linda Mae Nitch was born on May 24, 1948, the daughter of Dale and Reba (Marshall) Nitch in Iowa City. She was one of seven children born to the family. Growing up, Linda attended an all-girls school in the rural Toledo area.

Throughout life Linda came to know many people by working as a bartender in various bars in the Marshall and Tama county area and she was known by her fellow community members in Le Grand where she called home for many years.

Linda loved to have a good time, hang out with her friends, and take trips to Meskwaki. She was know for her loving and caring attitude, she would do anything to help out her friends and family. She always had a witty comeback for things that people said to her.

Surviving are her siblings, Gale (Jerry) Klosterman, Larry (Donna) Nitch, Colleen Hayes, and Michael Nitch, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Reba; her siblings, Dale Nitch Jr. [1953-1990] and Donna Boyd; her brother-in-law Marion Hayes; and her niece Heather Nitch.
