He was born March 27, 1930 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the Charles H. and Irene L. (Weber) Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Buchmelter) Stewart; his step-mother, Annie Stewart; and four siblings, Lois Maguschak, Robert "Bob" Stewart, Wesley "Eugene" Stewart and Sheldon Stewart.
Kenneth was a motor inspector in the blast furnace at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; enjoyed fishing and hunting; and was a fan of Penn State. He also coached little league for many years.
Surviving are six children, Janet (Jay) DiBiase of Mingo Junction, OH, Charles "Chuck" (Patti) Stewart of Bloomingdale, OH, Kenneth (Tammy) Stewart of Leicester, NC, Barbara Stewart Roach of Mingo Junction, OH, Jeffrey (Charmayne) Stewart of Vandergrift, PA and Darren (Angela) Stewart of Mingo Junction, OH; nine grandchildren, Jim DiBiase, Chad (Dawn) Stewart, Ryan Stewart, Josh (Christine) Stewart, Danielle Roach, Sommer (Mike) Plyler, Ian (Madison) Stewart, Keegan Stewart and Ashley (Jake) Kosikowski; and nine great-grandchildren, Molly, Braden, Anna, Isabella, Julian, Jacab, Laila, Peyton and Kayden.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Thursday there will be viewing at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
There will be a vigil service on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
