On Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, John Wayne Hamilton was called home at the age of 68. The world has lost a great son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

John was born in Joiner, Arkansas, on March 31st, 1953. He grew up in Tyronza, Arkansas with his father, mother, and siblings. He graduated from Rivercrest High School and worked on farms and in construction until he started his own independent grain hauling business in the mid nineties. This was the beginning of the "Geronimo" era. He enjoyed driving a truck and being in the farming community for many years until he retired at the age of 65.

If you asked John; his greatest accomplishment was being a father and grandfather. John met his wife Debra Lynn Jones through a mutual friend. That love grew to include Debra's two young daughters, Jennifer and Courtney. Jennifer and Courtney called him their "daddy John" as he stepped in and raised them as his own. A few years into their marriage John and Debra had a child together; Morgan. They raised their three daughters to be strong, independent women. John was very proud of the successful lives the girls have made and especially proud of the six grandbabies that made him "Grandaddy"; Mason, Haven, Cameron, Parker, Ella, and Walker.

John is survived by his siblings Pat (Joe Reeves), George (Renee Hamilton), Jiggs (Wendy Hamilton), Pam (Randy Gary), and Tim Hamilton; wife Debra, his daughters Jennifer (Alan Price), Courtney Wray, Morgan (Will Drace), and his six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother George and Lena Hamilton and his sister Ann Parker. Join John's family for visitation services on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 at Roller Citizens of West Memphis and graveside service on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 beginning at 11:00 at Tyronza cemetery.
