Connie Sue (Edmison) Boyd, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Connie was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois August 13, 1943. to Raymond Edmison and Pauline (Hopkins) Edmison. She first married John L. Carter and they had three children. In 1975 she married Dr. William Gage Boyd, DDS.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 41 years, Gage; sister Paula (Edmison) Moore; brother Gary Wayne Edmison; son Christopher Todd Carter and favorite Aunt Beulah Mae Guthrie.
She is survived by her daughter; Tiffany (Carter) Boyd and Jordyn (Carter) Boyd Wright, and seven grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 with the family receiving friends at 3:00 pm and service to start at 4:00 pm at Destin United Methodist Church in Destin, FL. She will be laid to rest with Gage in the Okaloosa Island Sound where they started their life together.
