Mary Smith Richardson entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 4, 2022, at the age of 89. She was a longtime resident of Metairie.
She was the beloved wife of the late Fredrick Richardson, Sr. for 34 years.
Together, they raised 11 children, James Richardson (Peggy), Carol Oliver (Ronnie), Linda Gerdes (Gene), Robert Richardson (Barbara), Karen Davis (Frank), Brian Richardson (Judy), Kathryn Richardson (Kathy), Kristi Ayo (Teddy), and the late Debra Richardson, Kenneth Richardson, and Fredrick Richardson, Jr.
Grandmother to 21 grandchildren. Great-Grandmother of 41 great-grandchildren; Great-Great Grandmother of 6 and 3 more on the way.
Daughter of the late Conley and Ida Smith.
Sister of Joyce Dolese, Conley Smith, Jr. and the late Ronald Smith, Dorothy Krause, and Patricia Gromlovitz. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery, following the service.
