Paul Alexander Fellers
March 7, 1959 - January 24, 2022

Charlotte, North Carolina - Paul "Alex" Alexander Fellers died on Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home in Charlotte. He was born in Charlotte on March 7, 1959 to the late Charles Berkley Fellers and Kathleen Whitener Fellers.

Alex graduated from Charlotte Latin and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from Clemson University. During college Alex was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity and was an avid supporter of the Clemson Tigers throughout his life. After college Alex moved to Atlanta to become a salesman for Teledyne, Inc. He returned to Charlotte and continued his career as a salesman in the steel industry.

His favorite place in all the world was Hilton Head Island, where he spent many summers. Alex loved the outdoors, being among the trees "PLTTREES", watching his children play, grilling dinner (a great griller and cook), watching a thunderstorm roll in and Memorial Day weekends at Ocean Isle with The Supper Club. Alex loved baseball. For seven summers he and his family traveled to a city with a Major League Baseball team. They called it "The Big Cities Baseball Tour." So many great memories were made.

Alex was an active member of Myers Park United Methodist Church where he was an usher, involved in the beginnings of the Foundation Sunday School class and a volunteer with Room in the Inn. He will be remembered for his kindness, his outgoing personality and his wonderful laugh.

Alex is survived by his two children, Charles Alexander Fellers and Hannah Elizabeth Fellers and their mother, Dawn Davis Fellers; his three siblings, Charles Berkley Fellers, Jr., Mark Gregory Fellers, and Liesa Fellers Bell. He is also survived by his niece, Berkeley Fellers Floyd and her mother, Shaun Fisher Fellers and his dearest supportive friends, Charlie Archer, Lee Ives, and Bill Spencer. Alex was predeceased by his brother-in-law, James Franklin Bell.

A graveside service for Alex will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery West, 4601 Freedom Drive in Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in memory of Alex to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 205 Regency Executive Park Drive, Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217 or www.jdrf.org.

Arrangements are in the care of Kenneth W. Poe Funeral & Cremation Service, 1321 Berkeley Ave., Charlotte, NC 28204; (704) 641-7606. Online condolences may be shared at www.kennethpoeservices.com.
