Gene Goodwin, 85 of Seymour, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Wichita Falls.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home.
Gene was born January 15, 1937 in Seymour to William and Virginia Rogers Goodwin. He attended Seymour Schools. He had to quit school just months shy of graduation to go to work. He worked for Davis Ranch and the Swenson Ranch, then went to work for B-K Electric. Gene completed his GED and was able to secure a job as a lineman and later as an inspector for GTE. He married Billie Frances Hulcy on July 6, 1956 in Seymour. She passed away on March 31, 2018. Gene loved to do woodwork, making canes and Christmas ornaments. Welding crosses and angels and he did a lot of sewing for Air Tractor. Gene was preceded in death by his great grandson Mason Goodwin; his parents and 4 siblings.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Debra Johnson of Seymour and Gina and Jim Anz of Olney; 2 sisters, Glenna Stennett of Olney and Kathy Moore of Seymour; a grandson, Audie Goodwin; 3 great grandchildren Nicholas, Vanessa and A.J. and 2 great great grandsons, Mason and Jaxon.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
