Merril Bunn, age 81, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hills Nursing Home in Idabel, OK. He was born on January 5, 1941 in Holly Creek, OK the son of Roy and Della (McGinty) Bunn.
Merril lived in Garvin, OK most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, wood crafts and tinkering around the house. He was a member of the Garvin Church of Christ. Merril loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed vacation in Branson, MO with his wife and children.
Merril Bunn and Betty Hallum were united in marriage on December 16, 1961. They shared 60 years of marriage together.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and James Bunn.
Merril is survived by his wife, Betty Bunn of the home; children, Julie Magby and fiancé Dennis Farley of Idabel, OK and Kenny and Peggy Hughes of Haskell, OK; grandchildren Jason and Tiffany Hughes and Mason and Rachel Hughes all of Coweta, OK; step grandchildren, Judson Farley and Ashlyn Farley both of Idabel, OK; great grandchildren, Kaydence Hughes, Camden Hughes, Braden Hughes and Nora Hughes all of Coweta, OK; one brother, Donald Ray Bunn of Holly Creek, OK; two sisters, Lois and John Wyatt Kingston, OK and Mary Francis Johnson-Henslee of Tablerville, OK; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Idabel, OK. Steve Endsley Jr will officiate.
Family will receive friends from 4 PM – 6 PM on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at White Family Funeral Home Chapel in Idabel, OK.
