Thomas "Tom" Walsh (Aug 11,1949 - Apr 1, 2021) passed away peacefully in hospital in his 72nd year after a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Hypertension. Tom, as he was known, had a sly and often quick-witted sense of humour and to know his humour was to have known him well. A true family man, he was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Born in Placentia and having spent his early years in Port Royal, Tom would go on to make a much loved career of working on the water. He spent most of his working life with Marine Atlantic. He was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer.

Predeceased by his parents Lawrence (Capt Lar) and Rita, brother Mike (Joan), brother-in-law Robin and his loving wife of 32 years Cathy (Leonard)

Leaving to mourn are his loving sons Dwayne (Susan), Darrell (Holly), and Colin (Michelle), Grandchildren Sam, Jesse, Thomas and Reid, Sisters Geraldine, Doris (David), Stella, Nora (Leo), Brother Len (Patricia) and long-time companion Carol Anne.

He will also be remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, cousins and dear friends.

Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions no visitation will take place. Funeral service to take place from Christ The King Catholic Parish, Southern Harbour on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00pm, with inurnment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
