Molly Lou LaVallee, 86, of Van Buren, AR passed away on February 4, 2022.
She was born on November 5, 1935 in Bond Special, AR to Guy Wesley McAlister and Florence Marie Kraft McAlister.
Molly was a member of Lee Creek Baptist Church. She was a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Auxiliary 1322 in Van Buren, AR. and served as treasurer for twenty years. She was Department President of VFW Auxiliary in 2009-2010. Molly was elected Auxiliary President and served from 2016 thru 2018. She was a member of the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary 14 and she served as Grand President in 2006-2007 and 2012-2013. She was also a Life Member of the DAV Auxiliary.
Molly was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Edward "Bud" LaVallee and three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Terri Gothard and husband Johnny of Van Buren, AR, Cindi Richmond and husband Dean of Howe, OK, Stacey Homan of Rudy, AR; two sons, Ed Homan of Howe OK, Paul England and wife of Tara of Belton, TX; one sister, Betty Stutts of Fort Smith, AR; one brother, George McAlister and wife Martha of Fort Smith, AR; nine grandchildren, Sam Marriott and Dennis Mariott both of Fort Smith, AR, Natasha Lewis of Poteau, OK, Katey Kam of Van Buren, AR, Dakotah Homan of Pontotac, MS, Will Linton of Rudy, AR, Andrea Shelton of Hartford, AR, Rachel Hamilton and Rhrett England both of Belton, TX; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 PM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 PM till 7 PM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home.
