Shirley Laverne Lawson, 79, Goshen, died 4:47 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her home. She was born May 4, 1942, in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, to Sidney & Mary (Taylor) Lacefield. On October 7, 1960, she married Larry Lawson.
Surviving are her husband, Larry, Goshen, daughter, Laura (Ron) Utley, Goshen, granddaughter, Lacey Utley, sisters, Mildred Farrier, Goshen and Freda (Steve) Knisley, Elkhart.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Over the years, Shirley worked at Dairy Farm Products, Fiddlers, Goshen Stamping, and Burger Dairy. She was a 1960 graduate of Goshen High School. Shirley loved to Square Dance and Line Dance. She also enjoyed music and planting trees and flowers around the house.
A private graveside service will be at West Goshen Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Gwaltney will officiate.
