Michael Houston Lowery, age 65, of Berea, passed away after a very short illness at St. Joseph East in Lexington.
Michael was born in Richmond, Kentucky to the late Houston Bee and Anna Rose Hendren Lowery. He attended Greater Rain Community Church. In his free time he has always enjoyed drawing, woodworking, making walking sticks and grapevine canes. He has always had an eye for artistry.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Lowery; one step son, Thomas Abshear; one brother and his wife, Tommy and Brenda Lowery and one sister-in-law, Lisa Lowery.
He is survived his son, Josh (Jessica) Lowery; his second wife, Shannon Lowery; his step-son, Tim (Kisha) Abshear; two brothers, Gene Lowery, Darrell (Linda) Lowery; several "adopted" children who call him dad; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will 12:30 pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Lakes Funeral Home. Apostle Jacob White will be officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens.
