Mary E. Yoder, of Nappanee, age 86, died at 10:49am on January 10, 2022 at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1935 to Harvey and Fannie (Slabaugh) Farmwald in Nappanee, IN and was a lifetime resident of the Nappanee area. Mary married Homer Yoder on November 3, 1956. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1997. Mary had worked as a seamstress at Newmar and was a member of the former North Main Street Mennonite Church. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, and flowers. Mary is survived by a son, Roger Yoder of Nappanee, IN; a daughter, Tamara (Ed) Bontrager of Warsaw, IN; a grandson, Nathan Calhoun of Indianapolis, IN; and a brother, Andy (Linda) Farmwald of Milford, IN. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Tobias, and brother, Oliver Farmwald. Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 11-1 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, IN. A funeral service will follow at 1pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Mary's name to FCDC (Family Christian Development Center). Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
