Jon C. Puchalla, 21, of 988 Little Lehigh Drive, Emmaus, died Monday in his home. Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Wayne Snyder said a ruling on the death is pending test results.
Born in Allentown, Puchalla was a son of John and Rosemarie (Kahler) Puchalla, with whom he resided.
A 1982 graduate of Emmaus High School, he recently completed his second year at Johnson and Wales Culinary School, Providence, R.I.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church, Allentown.
Surviving with his parents are a sister Rosemarie, wife of Ronald Weaver of Wescosville, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rose Kahler of Allentown.
Services at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Kohut Funeral Home, 950 N. Front St., Allentown, will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in the church. A calling hour will precede the services.
