Robert Keith "Bob" Childers, 62, of Chillicothe, passed 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born December 7, 1959, in Ross County, to the late Robert E. and Florence C. Bowers Childers. On April 12, 1986, he married the former Janet Sheets who survives.
Also surviving are a step daughter, Heather R. (Curtis) Hunt, of Lancaster; a step son, Daniel C. Minser, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Keith Gregory Hunt, Kathryn Hunt, and Elijah Hunt; brothers, Larry V. Childers, of Waverly and twin, William K. (Paula) Childers, of Piketon; sisters, Joan Malkowski, of Henrico, VA and Karen Childers, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Patrick Childers.
Bob was a 1978 graduate of Waverly High School. He retired from Chilpaco. Bob was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 988 and the Sons of American Legion – Post 757.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Brother Jamie Rout officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
