Linda J. Howell, age 81, a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away Wednesday morning, February 2, 2022, at Magnolia Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on January 12, 1941, in Williamson County, Linda was the daughter of the late Paul Howell and the late Lucille Marietta Howell. She previously worked as a fancy stitcher for Durango Boot Company. She was very artistic and loved to paint. Linda was a historian who loved genealogy and was very proud of her Cherokee ancestry.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackquiline Louise Howell (David) Underwood of Franklin, Sonia Geraldine Howell of Bon Aqua, Tonia Earline Howell Watts of Fairview, brothers, Larry Wayne (Dot) Howell of Spring Hill, Mark Anthony Howell of Leipers Fork, sisters, Peggy Howell Burge of Franklin, Tina Howell (James) Binkley of Chapel Hill, grandchildren, Jacob Underwood, Jerimiah Underwood, James Underwood, Matthew Watts, Kayla Scott, Nathan Brown, Jessica Simpson, Mikasha Baker (Richard) Clark, Mariah Baker (Isaac) Hulan, and great grandchildren, Mila Clark, Mia Clark, Lincoln Hulan.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery in Williamson County. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Watts, Nathan Brown, T.C. DeLaney, Josh DeLaney, Chris Kelly, and William Sullivan.
