Ricky Dean Hunter, 63, of Muskogee, OK passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Muskogee, OK. Ricky was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 5, 1958 the son of Elgie Dean and Betty Hunter (Holladay).
Ricky worked at Muskogee Regional Medical Center for almost 20 years. He then worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority for many years thereafter. He enjoyed camping, fishing and working in the yard. He also loved caring for his garden and spoiling his grandchildren most of all.
Ricky is survived by his wife Judy Hunter (Stout); 2 daughters: Crystalenia Cotten and husband Adam of Muskogee, OK and Amber Masters and husband Rocky of Tahlequah; 5 grandchildren: Brynlee Masters, Myles Cotten, Gavin Masters, Madilyn Masters and Elleanor Cotten; 2 brothers: LaVon Hunter and wife Christine of Bakersfield, CA and Tim Hunter and wife Michelle of Muskogee, OK; along with a host of other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Elgie Dean and Betty Hunter.
Viewing will be held from 10 am to 8 pm Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home located at 2801 Chandler Road, Muskogee, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at McLain Cemetery in Muskogee County.
