Christopher Alan "Chris," Stewart, 48, passed away at Wexner Medical Center of the Ohio State University Hospital on January 30, 2022, at 8:45am.

He was born on September 16,1973, the son of Robert and Mildred (Ward) Stewart. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Lima.

In 2006 He was married to Tresa Barcus, and she survives in Lima.

Chris was a retired Veteran of the US Navy, and was an Infantry Gun, Crew and Seamanship Specialist.

He attended Owens Community College and Tiffin University.

He was a member of Kibby St. Church of Christ, and had his faith to ground him.

He was very interested in trains, and was a conductor for a time.

Chris was a big Michigan fan, and an even bigger Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and watched a lot of games.

In addition to being survived by his wife and mother, he has a daughter; Brandi Thompson, two sons; Camrin Stewart, and Step-son Darrein Barcus.

Chris has two sisters; Karmen (Bruce) Tall, of North Carolina, and Apryl Stewart, of Dublin Ohio, and a brother; Robert "Tony" Stewart, of Covington Ky.

Chris and Tresa also have two grandchildren; Quinton and Dawson. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and his community.

Friends may call at Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home, 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima Ohio 45805, on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 11am-1pm, with a service to begin at 1pm, officiated by Evangelist Kevin Berry of Kibby St. Church of Christ. Burial will follow immediately after service at Woodlawn Cemetery, with full Military Honors provided by the Patriot Guard Riders, American Legion/VFW Honor Guard, and Active- Duty Navy Honor Guard. The family has requested that folks coming to visitation and service please wear masks, and observe common sense precautions when you come.
