MARY IDA BELL, age 94 of Sidney, IA died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA unexpectedly. Mary Ida was born November 20, 1927 in Percival, IA to Carl Emery Holland and Elizabeth Grace (Glasgow) Holland. On September 10, 1961 she married Jesse Daniel Bell in Nebraska City, NE. They lived in Nebraska City, NE for 15 years prior to moving to Sidney, IA in 1976 and then moving to Riverton in 2001. After Jesse's death Mary Ida moved back to Sidney.

Mary Ida worked for the Fremont County Assessor's office for a time and for Pendleton Corporation when they lived in Nebraska City. Later, she worked as a Dispatcher for the Fremont County Sheriff's Office in Sidney for over 15 years. Mary Ida enjoyed crafts and never missed an opportunity to have coffee with her friends at Penn Drug in Sidney.

Mary Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse D. Bell; and her son, Jeffrey Bell. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rogers of Glenwood, IA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
