He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lynette; parents, Edd and Ruby Martin; brothers, Charles and James Martin; sisters, Gayle Mashburn, Linda Schulz, and Peggy Martin. He is survived by his daughter; four sons; two sisters; two brothers; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was in the United States Army National Guard for 9 years. He loved Farming, Family and Gardening. "He was a gentle soul of unparalleled strength".
A visitation will be held on Tuesday February 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 11:00AM from the funeral home. Burial will be a New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
