She began school in Prosser as a young teen and graduated from Prosser High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, with the class of 1950. She loved her school days in Prosser and made many lifelong friends. It was at Prosser High School that she met the love of her life and future husband, Earl Walker. The couple married in Prosser on June 28, 1951.
After graduation, she became an Administrative Secretary for the Prosser School District. She retired from the school district to raise her family and assist with operation of the family farm. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother.
Jean enjoyed bowling, square dancing, fishing, card games, casino trips, crafts and traveling with her husband, Earl in their motorhome. She was a member of the Horseheaven Women's Club, Prosser & Lower Valley Bowling Leagues and was an avid supporter of the Prosser Mustangs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Eva Beightol; brother, Robert Beightol; and husband, Earl Walker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Prosser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery.
