David Eugene Gray, 81, of Columbia, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, on July 13, 1940, he was a son of the late Robert Wilson and Hazel Lee Perkins Gray.

Survivors include his wife, step-children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of New Jersey, siblings, as well as a host of other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Sachiko Gray; siblings, Robert M. Gray, Delores Gray Wright, and Michael Gray.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 o'clock, Thursday, October 14th, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Fr. C. Alexander McDonald officiating. Burial will be held in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San
Diego, CA. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic Church Building Fund, 721 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223.
